Here we go with another money saving, easy, fixer-upper from the thrift store down the street. I LOVE the way this turned out!

This chair has
definitely seen better days. It was a
whopping $12 at the thrift store. A little on the higher-priced end, but I knew this chair would be beautiful when it was done, so I couldn't resist it!

First I started with taking the "wings" off the sides of the head rest, which made a huge difference.

Next, the frumpy cushion had to go.

Down to the bare bones and ready for two coats of black spray paint.

While the pain was drying, I re-
upholstered the seat. Thank heavens for the wonderful invention of the staple gun!

Turned out
ok. I am a little disappointed that the seat isn't centered better on the material. A small detail that will probably drive me insane, but oh well.

Ta
da!! The finished product! Beautiful!

The pillow gives an added bit of color. I love the way this chair turned out, it is just as beautiful as I had hoped it would be. Perfect for my living room!

ReplyDeleteI love it. It's gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI have that same fabric on a chair....it would drive me crazy if it was a bit off center, too...it only takes a few minutes to pop out the staples and move it over an inch!
ReplyDeletei love the shape of the chair...looks great in black!
Love it!!! Great job on the transformation.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comments! I must admit, the longer I look at the chair, the more tempted I am to just pop the staples out and move the material over a bit. I am sure it will bother me till I get it fixed. Thanks everybody!
