Daily Cleaning Schedule

As busy as my husband and I can get through the week, I rarely have time to get ALL the cleaning done ALL the time. Some days I have only a small amount of time to clean, and with a house full of children, most of that time is spent cleaning up the trail those kiddos leave behind as they play. I felt like I was always running in circles cleaning the same rooms each day, while other rooms in the house were being neglected.

So I devised a plan to make cleaning time as efficient as possible.

Break the main big cleaning jobs down into smaller groups. Assign those smaller groups to each day of the week. Focus each day on those main cleaning jobs. That includes picking up the clutter, dusting, clearing surfaces, vacuming / sweeping, etc. This way, you can really focus on getting a smaller amount of cleaning done each day, and each room will get cleaned really well at least once a week.Type the list, and place it where you will be reminded at a quick glance which jobs need to be done. (I know, I spend A LOT of time doing laundry....) Once the main cleaning is done for the day, the remaining cleaning time can be used to quickly catch up on dishes, clutter in other rooms, or anything else that may need to be done.

Less time spent running in circles, and each room gets deep cleaned each week!
