A Valentine Treat

Aren't these perfect for Valentine's Day treats? When I saw them here, I knew this would be perfect for my twin first-graders to take to school for their parties today. Super fast, easy, and cheap! I just bought a bag of flat lollipops and used scrapbook items I already had at home.

Such a fun idea! My boys each helped glue the hearts and distress the paper with ink. It was a great craft project for the kids to help out with.

And for their teachers, we made some very easy Cake Truffles on Sunday, and had them in the freezer ready for their parties today. I have included the recipe below.
Cake Truffles
1 Chocolate Cake Mix, Prepared
1 8 oz Block of Low-Fat Cream Cheese
Dipping Chocolate, melted
Prepare the cake mix according to the directions on the box.
When the cake has cooled, crumble the cake in a large bowl. Add the cream cheese, mix well. Roll the cake mixture into balls. Melt the melting chocolate. Dip the rolled balls into the dipping chocolate. Let the dipped truffles stand on parchment paper until the dipping chocolate has hardened.
